We Need Sleep

How's your sleep? Adults need between 7 and 9 hours of sleep each night to be physically and mentally healthy. (Kids and teens need more.) If you're going through a stressful period or are female, you likely need closer to nine hours. The best way to figure out how much sleep you need is to go to sleep at the same time for a couple nights in a row and then see what time you naturally wake up. When we don't get enough sleep we don't just feel tired the next day but our brains aren't able to function at full capacity. Sleep helps us keep whatever new information we learned the day before and it helps us be emotionally regulated. These are just two of the benefits of getting enough sleep.
