Jealousy

Notice how you feel inside the next time someone else experiences success beyond what you expected. Is there a sense of rejoicing or is there envy? If not watched, success and influence corrupts one’s ability to rejoice in the success of others. Our pride is hurt and insecurity in our performance takes over. We give in to jealousy. The seduction that somehow “success” means we are better than others. How quickly we forget that God uses the simple to confound the wise.
