Crying for Joy

Ever notice that sometimes people cry for joy?  It seems an opposite reaction to the moment doesn’t it; being so happy one cries?  The opposite is also true.  Sometimes people smile at the most awkward times.  Have you seen this?  A person is discussing someone’s death or a crime that has been committed and they are smiling the whole time.  Some researchers see it as a person is trying to achieve some emotional balance.  Though not of great consequence or concern when people occasionally have these “opposite” expressions, if one continually has mixed expressions like these, there may be personal tension and pressure to be attended to.
