Blaming Others

I heard a great story about a man who had a squeaky rocking chair. He worked on it long and hard yet every time he sat in it and rocked it still squeaked. Finally in exasperation, he took his shot gun and blew it to smithereens. To his surprise, he still heard squeaking. It was his knees. Often our irritation has a legitimate source, but we are quick to assign the problem outside of ourselves. I know in childhood, I had a relative who when something went wrong in the house, people called out his name. Once in a while it was his fault but much of the time it was not. I have to force myself sometimes to examine myself first when something goes wrong. How about you?
