Christine Vander Wielen, M.S.W., LCSW
Christine Vander Wielen, M.S.W., LCSW earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree, Majoring in Psychology from Marquette University and her Master of Social Work degree with an emphasis on Clinical Social Work from Boston College.
Christine felt the call to help others early in life. This became very clear to her while working as a caseworker with a foster care agency. As a caseworker, Christine primarily worked with children who had experienced significant loss, abuse, and trauma. She was then asked to supervise a psychiatric hospital diversion program for children and adolescents. Through her experience, Christine saw the impact a disruptive and chaotic home environment had on the mental, emotional, physical and psychological health of children. She witnessed also how the marital relationship sets the tone for the other relationships in the family. Christine returned to school and attended Boston College to study Clinical Social Work. She now is a clinical therapist that works with individuals of every age, couples, and families to improve relationships and increase functionality. Christine specializes in treating: depression, anxiety, survivors of abuse, relationship difficulties, and parenting issues. Her approach to therapy is rooted in the principle that all healing comes from God and that through Him true healing and restoration is always possible.
